Building the Foundation for a Healthy Low Back in Yoga & Beyond

Low back health is an essential component for ease of movement in a yoga practice and beyond. This strength and awareness-building workshop explores how everyday movement habits, both on and off the mat, can impact low back health and how to shift toward moresupportive patterns.

What to Expect

We’ll begin with a short lecture to build understanding, then move into a guided yoga practice that breaks down key concepts step by step. Expect targeted work to strengthen your coreand glutes, along with practical strategies for holding your body with greater awareness inposes and transitions.

This workshop is not a quick fix for back pain, nor is it a substitute for medical treatment. Instead, it’s a tool kit of practices designed to help you gradually cultivate resilience, mobility, and strength in your low back over time. Modifications will be offered throughout, and participants are always encouraged to listen to their own bodies. If you’re currently experiencing significant back issues, please consult your healthcare provider before attending.
