I have been teaching yoga for almost eight years and have been regularly practicing yoga for twenty years. I am always amazed by the willingness of students, especially beginners, to give the physical effort that is necessary to sustain the practice. Even more impressive is the desire students have to be open to something different in their lives. To be open to something bigger in their lives, to be open to a shift in their awareness or consciousness, even if it’s a little scary or mysterious. As a teacher I am always inspired by this and it makes teaching yoga very rewarding.

In my twenty years of practice, I have studied Anusara yoga and some Iyengar yoga. I have also taken hundreds of Bikram and Power yoga classes. My home practice is also very important to me. (It’s what got me through the pandemic.) I did my teacher training through Metrowest Yoga and I feel incredibly lucky to be able to teach and practice at this studio, it is the perfect place for me to teach. At MYoga we can combine the art of correct alignment in poses while flowing in a mindful way, allowing our busy minds to slow down and find some peace in the moment. The hope being that we take that peace home with us and share it with the world around us.
