She/Hers // RYT 200

As a yoga teacher, I find the relationship between teacher and students to be very reciprocal. I feel as though I learn just as much, if not more, from the students than I offer them as a teacher. In order to enhance the learning for my students, it is critical for me to continue to develop and learn as a student as well. I love taking classes with different instructors and different forms of yoga. I use workshops to increase and deepen my learning about alignment or human anatomy. We all know the expression that you cannot pour from an empty cup. My own yoga practice allows me to keep my cup full. Emotionally it keeps me grounded and present and physically it allows me to get stronger. Both of these combined allow me to be the best version of myself which in turn makes me a better teacher for others.

I have been teaching yoga since 2017. I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Metrowest Yoga with Shawn, Anne, Ray and Cote as my instructors. I continue to learn from them every time I step on my mat. The training program offered at MW was physically challenging which I expected. What I did not expect was how challenging the non-physical part was. Showing up every weekend, sitting in stillness, and cultivating internal awareness was very emotional. It was also life changing. Every single part of this training program helped me advance my own humanity. I am inspired and humbled to show up to each class and offer that learning to my students.
