My desire to share yoga and become a teacher is a direct result of a dedicated yoga practice. My hours on the mat, on the cushion, reading ancient and contemporary yogic texts, attending courses, workshops, chanting and spending time in nature outweigh my teaching hours by far. I am constantly amazed at how much there is to discover, encounter, and learn on and off the mat. I am grateful that "the practice never ends" and to have found yoga in this lifetime.

My first yoga class was on a gym floor in my sophomore year of high school, where a gym teacher shared poses from a book. I loved it! I was introduced to full-body relaxation techniques in college and guided meditation but did not practice yoga until much later in life. I am eternally grateful to Gail Cannon of Earthsong Yoga, who introduced me to Ashtanga. I later came to Metrowest Yoga, where I was ill-prepared for the heat but grew to love it and, most of all, the community. My practice continued under Shawn Shaw of Metrowest Yoga in Worcester and Westboro. I became interested in assisting and completed training with Ray Mucci. I later completed my 200 RYT at Metrowest Yoga under Shawn Shaw, Anne Toupizis, Ray Mucci, and Cindy Boulter. I continued to study  Sacred Seeds Yoga Shala (500YRT) led by Jacqui Bonwell with co-teachers; David Vendetti (South Boston Yoga), Sagel Urlacher (Yin Yoga), and Johnny Gillespie (Balanced Athlete). My most recent studies include work with Susanna Barkataki (Embrace Yoga's Roots), workshops with Skill in Action/Social Justice facilitators, and Trauma-Informed Yoga through Courtney Bell and Jenn Turner of Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY).  I am interested in yogic philosophy and the intersection of embodied practices, creativity, and healing.
