She/Her/Ella // RYT 200

Ruth first came to yoga in 2003 for the physical benefits of the practice. Her doctor recommended yoga to help her with some physical challenges she was working through. She practiced occasionally, but never thought of it as anything more than stretching exercises. It was not until 2016, when she started to study yoga philosophy and explore the other limbs of yoga, that she developed a regular practice. She received her teaching certificate at Metrowest Yoga & Training Center in 2019 under the guidance of Shawn Shaw and the many other talented teachers at Metrowest Yoga. She is trained in vinyasa flow, and emphasizes breath during movement to help cultivate a mind-body connection. She believes sangha, community, is an important part of the practice and a place where practitioners can offer support and acceptance of one another. She continues to be a student of yoga, on and off the mat.
